Position Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct support to the Manager of Global Commercial Finance to establish a revenue analytics process in order to help Commercial Leadership and drive forecast accuracy. Key tenets of this position involve driving functional excellence through the establishment of structured global processes, and implementation of incisive revenue analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish revenue dashboards (e.g., real-time revenue progress indicators, heat maps, linearity analyses, run-rate performance, large deals, instrument forecasts, etc.) to provide insight into revenue trends and projected quarter exit(s). Drive accurate, consistent, and standardized reporting at a Group/Division/BU level by leveraging scale.
  • Identify and present key metrics in order to help leadership in decision making. Metrics include, but are not limited to: i) Organic growth contribution; ii) Geographical trends; iii) Customer segmentation; iv) Instrument adoption / Consumable pull-through; v) SGN analysis; vi) Channel performance; vii) KPIs for Product / Strategic initiatives; vii) NPIs
  • Distill large volumes of data and translate into actionable information (e.g., identify areas of risk and opportunities) via navigation of multiple reporting and forecasting systems (EDW, Hyperion Planning, CMR). Formulate and test hypotheses based on the output of the revenue analytics with the primary goal of helping drive revenue growth for the organization.
  • Drive functional excellence through implementation of Global processes that facilitate alignment between all stakeholders (Divisions, Regions, Commercial Leadership)
  • Partner with Commercial-Division liaisons to drive best practice sharing and clear lines of communication across LSG Finance teams

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of related experience in financial planning and analysis, reporting, and accounting leadership in a complex, multinational organization.
  • BA/BS major in accounting, business or technical field preferred; MBA, advance degree or equivalent professional experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated history of driving businesses processes to improved performance and customer ease of use.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills including ability to take an independent stance when interfacing with cross functional stakeholders. Comfortable presenting information to multiple management layers, up to and including Group Executives.
  • Strong win/win attitude with emphasis on collaboration.
  • Technical ability to effectively navigate interplay between all financial systems (E1, SAP, EDW, Hyperion Planning, HFM/CMR), and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail; must be able to elevate perspective at the appropriate time. Must be able to ’ Zoom In or Out’, based on targeted audience and business intelligence gathering.
  • Strong and confident communicator: essential to have credibility within a dynamic, challenging environment and in the context of providing outstanding business partnering support.
  • Desire to formulate and drive process improvements, challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines while delivering consistent, accurate and reliable work.
  • Demonstrated focus on being able to translate data and metrics into predictable, value-added business insights.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • BA/BS major in accounting, business or technical field preferred; MBA, advance degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent process improvement skills and track record.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad guidance against a framework of defined business objectives in a matrix environment.
