The North American Program Manager for SmartiST will be responsible for overseeing the management and implementation of SmartiST strategies for Sales, Marketing and Customer environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and support revenue goals for SmartiST measured by customer adoption based on number of accounts and revenue flow.
  • Track and regularly report progress to KPIs to gauge success of the program, to include financial return, profit management, and productivity gains.
  • Drive the operationalization of SmartiST within Fisher Scientific as new technologies are launched, ensuring appropriate level of alignment with Unity Lab Services and other Thermo Fisher Scientific teams.
  • Manage daily operations and serve as the primary business contact for new SmartiST engagements that are Fisher Scientific sales rep and customer managed.
  • Develop sales and customer playbooks to on-board and manage new SmartiST engagements, ensuring solutions are scalable, repeatable, and effective to meet the expectations of all stakeholders, including blended Unity Lab Service engagements.
  • Drive the strategy and implementation of direct to market campaigns and measurement of results to drive growth and productivity.
  • Represent the NA VOC and recommendations per competitive assessment of direct, adjacent, emerging solutions for global program and technology development.
  • Support SmartiST strategy development to expand the platform functionality and market reach.
  • Support the development of the SmartiST value proposition to fluidly extend and resonate across the spectrum of solutions and personas it supports, ensuring that it integrates with the overall Thermo Fisher value proposition, maximizing the power of our offerings regionally and globally.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters of Science degree in Marketing, Logistics Management or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales, Marketing, Portfolio Management, and/or Program / Project Management.
  • Ability to think strategically, to specify needs and requirements and to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Strong business acumen and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure and operational needs of multiple distribution centers and the sales organizations.
  • Must possess the interpersonal and presentational skills to be able to interact with various levels of Thermo Fisher personnel & customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across a variety of teams (geographic, business type, management style); strong leadership skills and a commitment to our values.
  • Ability to manage personnel to their maximum effectiveness and work effectively across multiple businesses and functional departments to drive results.
  • Must possess strong analytical problem solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25-40%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master of Science degree in Marketing, Logistics Management or related field.
  • PPI/Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Technical understanding of RIMS, LIMS and/or Cloud based solutions, databases, Customer Portals and web-based applications.
