Position Summary:
Making the world healthier, cleaner and safer by building and distributing product for the pharmaceutical industry on time with quality in a highly regulated environment. Assign workflow on production floor to balance workload and maintain efficiency. Builds capabilities of team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, select, develop, mentor, coach, and supervise the manufacturing operations staff
  • Direct compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and quality systems
  • Manage Daily, weekly, and monthly key metrics and data generation and reporting process
  • Manage schedule adherence, OTD, lead-times
  • Implement productivity, efficiency, utilization, and cost improvements
  • Improve participation in key strategic operational initiatives and projects
  • Lead, support, and participate in PPI continuous improvement programs and initiatives such including, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events
  • Execute proper training programs to teach employees on how to be efficient, effective and maintain excellent quality assurance levels in all products and processes
  • Develop and maintain budgets for equipment and manpower requirements. Control consumable supply inventory and order when necessary. Work with planning to determine long term production demands to maintain proper staffing. Track internal costs of production
  • Drive quality through participation in corrective actions, deviations, investigations troubleshooting, product development, training, and understanding of customer demand
  • Present to customers in audits, give tours, and review processes
  • Promote safety within the department by enforcing policies and regulations
Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven competency in operation/production management
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of computer literacy
  • Ability to influence others and drive change/improvement
  • Self motivated, organized and detail oriented
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to work under a flexible work schedule
  • Aptitude for learning a technical product and process
  • Knowledge of how to coordinate new and existing product needs within and between departments
  • Ability to travel domestically up 10%.
Desired Qualifications:
  • B.S. / B.A. degree in Operations Management (or a related field from an accredited institution) or applicable industry experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience within a leadership role in a manufacturing environment
