Manager Supply Chain
This position is part of the Material and Structural Analysis Division (MSD). The Material and Structural Analysis Division provides instruments, accessories and other products for chemical and material analysis in lab, line, and field applications. The Supply Chain Manager will direct the Supply Chain and logistics activities for the Molecular Business Unit in Karlsruhe, Germany. The Molecular Business Unit is a provider of instruments that characterize material properties and provide extrusion solutions.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for management and improvement initiatives in Scheduling, Production Planning, Purchasing, Sourcing, Material Handling and Logistics. The Supply Chain Manager is accountable for metrics such as sourcing savings, inventory turns, inventory record accuracy, excess & obsolete inventory, on time shipment, and productivity savings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute materials plan for SIOP of $55M annually, including forecasting, planning or production, and procurement of materials that meets customer expectations as well as cash flow requirements
  • Drive employee performance and development
  • Meet productivity and budget targets through sourcing and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Manage the daily use of the ERP system and metrics reporting for the factory
  • Implement supply chain strategies and manage the supplier partners for optimal quality, price, delivery and service.
  • Ensure efficient and timely receipt and delivery of materials throughout the factory and to the customer
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • BS in business or technical oriented field.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing professionals.
  • 5-8 years experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with SAP and MRP systems preferred.
  • Experience in the management of global supply chain required.
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
