The Product Conversion Analyst supports key pharmaceutical customers and is dedicated to identifying and analyzing product savings opportunities, maintaining a robust project plan, and tracking program success in order to meet the expectations of the customer contract. This position will routinely work cross functionally with Product Management, Supply Chain, E-Business, and Unity Labs on behalf of Sales and the customer. The successful candidate will have product knowledge and strong analytical skills but will also be engaged in operations through significant commercial interactions with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform necessary financial and pricing analyses to assess the profitability or risk of the recommended initiatives. Incorporate project strategies into overall assessment to provide customer with different opportunities.
  • Identify missed opportunities and further drive customer compliance by providing Field Sales with the appropriate resources and tools to work directly with end-users on conversions.
  • Support the sales team by preparing materials to present the recommendations and savings opportunities to the customer and then ensure Sales are prepared to deliver the material to the customer.
  • Develop and maintain Product Conversion Roadmap with Sales Leadership. Develop internal project plan to ensure cross referencing, pricing, and tracking requirements are met according to customer commitments. Identify key customer processes that must be integrated into the project plan. Develop associated customer-facing templates to improve ease of use and aid in decision-making.
  • Coordinate project management of conversion opportunities approved by the customer. Specific tasks to include developing project management tracker, scheduling calls with the local sales reps to get an update on progress, reporting of roadblocks to project success to the Industry Director and maintaining project tracking template to ensure field conversion activities are being monitored.
  • Leverage the supplier community and Cross Reference Services tools to identify cross references needed to implement the product plans. Complete additional cross referencing if needed and ensure crosses are loaded into systems such that they flow through to the customer’s punch-out catalog.
  • Provide consultation to the Sales team on how to set customer expectations and manage/be aware of potential conflict or change management.
  • Provide updates relative to program progress and success metrics as needed for internal and external business reviews.
  • Understand customer contract and ensure alignment of activities.
  • Participate in Sales processes such as routine calls, Account Management Team Meetings, weekly reports, conversion/opportunity tracking. Participant will work closely with Field Sales and Industry Director.
  • Identify product opportunities that may require testing and then coordinate samples to the Sales organization. Support onsite customer activities on occasion as required. Sampling and follow-up with customer as be required.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Pittsburgh-based functions on behalf of Sales, especially e-catalog support, supply chain support and pricing support. Interface regularly with Unity Labs to ensure alignment of onsite inventories.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance or a scientific field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and demonstrate flexibility with priorities.
  • Well-developed general business acumen with a thorough understanding of financial data and reporting methodologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products and an ability to quickly grasp new software tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across a diverse range of colleagues.
  • Candidate must have strong analytical skills and comfort with data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years laboratory experience with broad knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and consumables.
  • Proficiency with Excel required and Cognos.
  • Service-oriented work ethic.
