Job Description

Essential Functions:

Commercial Support

  • Direct ownership and management of the Americas revenue forecast; lead bi-weekly forecast discussions with district managers, align with division Commercial Leader on monthly forecast commitment
  • Lead the AOP process for the Americas region; drive customer level plan to meet organic growth targets
  • Support global revenue projections for monthly forecast and AOP; participate in regional discussions, consolidate projections and ensure consistent reporting, processes and communication
  • Engage with supply planning, product management and revenue recognition teams to ensure orders are available and revenue recognition criteria is sufficient
  • Weekly sales reporting and trend analysis; end of quarter revenue tracking for the division
  • Support commercial operating expenses and headcount; ensure cost controls and expense visibility are tightly managed
  • Strong business partnering support, framing, and independent decision making
  • Manage Financial Analyst, working through development and performance plans, as well as providing coaching and active feedback
  • Perform ad-hoc business analysis and preparation of materials in support of leadership

Sales Operations Support

  • Lead the Global AOT process for the division, managing AOT setting and territory alignment for the Americas while ensuring all regional teams follow consistent processes and meet global deadlines
  • Drive the annual incentive compensation planning process for the globe
  • Manage incentive compensation for the North America sales teams, including calculation of quarterly payouts, accruals and recommendations for requested adjustments

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or other business related disciplines (MBA a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Systems experience: SFDC, CMR, COGNOS, Hyperion Essbase, SAP, E1
  • Business modeling and forecasting, including understanding of pricing models, sales trends, financial statements and financial system structures
