Job Description

Position Summary:
  • Plans and conducts the development of new and revised labels and inserts for products. Responsible for creating specifications for new labels and inserts in accordance with quality standards, Federal and International government regulations, United Nation regulations and Customer/Marketing objectives.
  • Works independently and as a team member in performing various tasks.
  • Consults with manufacturing personnel regarding labeling improvements.
  • Coordinates new Bartender formats for Regulatory approval.
  • Works to address minor production issues related to labeling and equipment set up.
  • Provides required training for the Label Room printing process for the print technicians.
  • Takes daily directions from Value Stream Manager.
  • Responsible for operation and support of Label Inspection Equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or Associates Degree required. Emphasis on Math and/or Science.
  • With Associates degree requirement of 1-3 years related experience and/or training
  • With High School Diploma requirement of 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
  • Required combination of education and experience in Medical Device Packaging, Pharmaceuticals or Plastic Packaging/ Part Design.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required.
  • Position will require sitting and standing.
  • Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Requires good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of various labeling materials (paper stock, varnish, adhesives)
  • Strong computer skills (MSOffice® and Access®) and intermediate knowledge in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of mainframe MRP/ERP systems (SAP a plus).
  • Knowledge of Bartender, Easy Label, or Vision software is preferred.
