Drive revenue growth for the storage and tracking product segment that has a higher than average market potential in an assigned geographic territory.
Effective at being an individual and team contributor by partnering with corresponding Sales Representatives to identify and close sales opportunities.
Train Sales Representatives and channel partners to be more knowledgeable and competitive with respect to storage and tracking products within their geographies.
Continually promote Thermo Scientific’s breadth of product offering on all sales calls to deliver maximum customer value and to drive greater growth opportunities for the combined company.
Demonstrate highly technical products to effectively match our product capabilities to the customer’s needs and then, in close cooperation with our field representatives, remove all competitive obstacles to finalize an order for Thermo Fisher.
Ensure assigned field representatives are trained to sufficient level; focus on working with representatives in key and strategic accounts.
Provide field demonstration, sales and training support on current and future storage and tracking products.
Set-up joint travel days with Sales Representatives to increase their awareness of storage and tracking product applications and potential opportunities.
Conduct technical seminars on a regular basis.
Provide field technical advice and application feasibility regarding the proper use and performance of products to regional team members.
Provide routine feedback related to technology and customer needs to support new product development.
Manages all logistics associated with completing a successful final product installation and customer training as required.
Complete after sale follow-up with the customer to ensure satisfaction with our product performance. Coordinate service assistance as required.
Develop business plans in order to achieve required sales growth.
Participate as a team member in all assigned corporate and focus account initiatives.
Consistently update the company CRM sales funnel reports of projected bookings to assist in monthly company sales forecasting and product build plans.
Control expenses against pre-established budget and submit required reports on a timely basis.
Act as a liaison between the Business Units and the field selling team. Communicate new and pertinent information and updates from the business unit to the field selling team (new products, features, differentiators, competitive information, etc.).
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the business unit and commercial teams in order to best position the future vitality of the storage and portfolio.
Bachelor’s Degree with a scientific focus such as Biology, or Chemistry or related field and have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant sales experience within a laboratory environment.
Experience working in a laboratory with technical instruments preferred, prior experience selling storage equipment and consumables strongly preferred
Experience in delivering effective technical presentations to scientific researcher
Research laboratory applications experience required
Must have a working knowledge of the applications that utilize storage and tracking products
Willingness to travel extensively to accomplish assigned objectives (60% or greater)
