Job Description

Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists to play a key role in driving financial success within the Field & Safety Instruments (FSI) business unit, part of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly financial reporting and forecasting across all global FSI sites, in addition to supporting Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning. The Senior Financial Analyst is also be responsible for leading process improvement projects, gaining subject matter expertise in financial systems, and developing new reporting tools. This position will report to the Global FSI FP&A Manager and works closely with the Finance Director and the cross-functional FSI Leadership Team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly financial reports that provide insights to key stakeholders across the P&L
  • Understand key financial business drivers and provide management with accurate, timely, and relevant information for enhanced business decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Marketing, Ops, Accounting, Contracts, etc.)
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization within the functional area (reporting, analysis)
  • Innovate new reporting tools that deliver enhanced analytics and produce efficiencies
  • Support creation of Monthly Business Review/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) packages
  • Support the integration of the legacy PAI and RMSI business units into the new FSI organization
  • Assist with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecasts, budgets, and analysis
  • Lead the discount and large commercial deal analysis, including price and margin analysis
  • Analyze monthly budget variances to plan and communicate to cross-functional business partners
  • Lead Net Present Value (NPV) and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) analyses as needed
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Minimum Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus
  • 3-5 years of progressive financial experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; modeling, pivot tables, and complex functions
  • Proficiency with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Corporate Management Reporting (CMR), and Essbase is highly beneficial
  • Experience with MS Access, Intuitive, IBM Cognos, and Saleforce is a plus
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills; ability to present to senior leadership
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as in teams, both cross-functionally and internationally
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships
