Job Description

The System Analyst operates under minimum supervision, and performs duties with broad latitude for judgment.

Collaboration with business project teams providing distribution and transportation solutions.

Expected to independently perform business process analysis; document, recommend, and make process and configuration\\administration changes to systems.

Tasks assigned to this position require an in-depth and broad understanding of problem identification, analysis and resolution.

These other duties may include general analytical assignments.

Examples of Duties:

Defines and documents customer business functions and processes.

Consults with business to identify, define and document needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems.

Acts as a liaison between end-users, technical analysts, and consultants in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of Precision TMS to support Compliance, Transportation Management and Package Exception Management with E1/SAP ERP

Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.

Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications.

Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through Precision TMS system and/or non-system driven changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.

Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents functions and requirements.

Coordination of development projects though the Software Development Lifecycle.

Ensure the effective development, modification, testing and implementation of system solutions to meet the requirements of projects.

Develop testing strategies and scenarios to perform unit testing and integration testing cycles.

Support, documentation and automation of Standard Operating Procedures.

Monitor system transactional capacity against current and expected growth.

Closely monitor resource requirements, efforts and timelines to ensure timely delivery of project tasks.
