Job Description
This is a great opportunity for a tech savvy person with customer service or sales support experience to join the Life Science Solutions Group Sales Support team. This team plays an intricate role between our customer and our sales force by providing needed information and actions to ensure future opportunities for revenue.

  • Execute daily sales support requests in a timely and cooperative manner, working with various stakeholders, encompassing:
    • Entry and distribution of leads shared by the sales team into our Siebel CRM system
    • Fulfillment of quotation and pricing agreement generation, amendment and release requests from sales team, utilising our Siebel CRM, Oracle E1 and SAP ERP systems
  • Fulfilment of demonstration and equipment requests
    • Identifying and assigning available equipment from master inventory list; liaising with logistics and technical support teams for efficient physical picking, checking and dispatch of equipment; generating transportation bookings with external providers
  • Fulfilment of product sample requests from sales team
    • Monitoring sample request queue; seeking approval from Sales Managers to release samples; liaising with customer care team for samples to be ordered and released
  • Assisting with external customer enquiries when a Sales Representative is absent
    • Seeking input from technical support team and Sales Managers to determine appropriate solution(s) and provide information, including quotation if applicable, to external customer
  • Other duties as assigned

qualifications and skills:
  • Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Essential
  • Prior experience in a Sales Support Coordinator / Officer role - Desirable
  • Experienced in the B2B sales process and customer relations techniques - Desirable
  • Experienced in usage of ERP and CRM systems - Desirable
  • Education in scientific discipline, life sciences - Desirable
  • Self-driven and enthusiastic with positive attitude to perform as a team player
  • Initiative, ownership and organisational skills are critical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and build key relationships with customers and colleagues, particularly sales, marketing, customer care and logistics teams
  • Must demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers as well the ability to handle confidential and/or proprietary information
  • Ability to manage competing demands within a busy, commercial, competitive and target driven environment
  • Ability to identify and solve problems and to multi-task under deadline
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and a desire to learn
  • Demonstrate strong ethical behaviours
