An opportunity for an experienced Channel Manager has arisen within Thermo Fisher Scientific. The position will be offered on a Fixed Term contract basis for a period of 12 months. To be successful in this role, applicants will have a proven background in channel marketing roles, and preferably in the Life Science industry
Essential functions:
  • Devise and implement marketing plans for the channels (Fisher, distributors), ensuring alignment with key stakeholders (sales team, partners & distributors, divisional marketing, etc.)
  • Drive revenue growth through marketing programs specifically targeting our channel markets, working closely with partners & distributors
  • Adapt divisional marketing programs to suit channel markets
  • Analyse and report on channel performance and initiate marketing strategies & initiatives to drive growth in the channels
  • Establish close cooperation with key stakeholders (channel sales, partners/distributors, divisional marketing) to align strategies and tactics.
  • Improve brand recognition through the creation of co-branded multi-channel communications and marketing programs
  • Liaise with internal & external suppliers/partners to successfully implement marketing plans (marketing communications & events teams, creative agencies, electronic mail houses, event organizers etc.)
  • Track and analyse results of the realised activities and work out recommendations for future improvement to increase the return on investment
  • Control and manage channel marketing budget
  • Drive activities to continuously build and profile contacts in channels customer database
Nature and Scope:
Some travel might be expected for the attendance of training and/or business meetings.

Education & Experience:
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Excellent relationship building, negotiation and communication skills
  • Project management and planning skills.
This role is ideally suited to individuals who are self motivated, enthusiastic with a passionate desire to deliver business results and who have proven experience working in a dynamic challenging environment.
